Chickpeas flour crackers
Chickpeas flour is naturally rich in antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins.
Iron, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, and manganese, are some of the minerals you can find in this tasty flour, but most importantly it has a high percentage of folate, a vitamin that plays an important role in preventing spinal cord defects during pregnancy.
So if you’re looking for something light and gorgeous as an appetizer or as complementary to your meal here is a brilliant idea!
Here is what you need:
- 150 chickpeas flour
- 150 gr all-purpose flour
- 120 gr of water
- a pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons of extra virgin oil
- fleak salt or sesame seeds to garnish
How to do:
- Mix all the ingredients together till the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Let it rest on your working surface for about 20 minutes.
- Shape the crackers as thin as you can: if you use a lasagna roller you can choose the pasta thickness of your choice with different adjustable settings. I used my Kenwood lasagna roller accessory, getting to the last setting which is the thinner.
- Garnish with some sea fleak salt or sesame seeds and bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes till they get golden.
